Show Local tracksters earn invites to Cedar City By TOM HARALDSEN Clipper Correspondent LOGAN Members of both the Bountiful Flyers and Woods Cross Wildcat track clubs recently qualified for the Utah Summer Game finals in Cedar City during a regional meet at Utah State University Univer-sity last weekend. The Flyers captured gold medals in the 4 x 100 bantam girls relay with Allison Clegg, Steffani Sellers, l Bethany Butler, and Alisha Gard- ner, Tim Williams with golds in the midget boys shot put and discus; Jim Urland in youth boys with gold in the 100 meters and high jump, and silver in the 100 and 200 meter hurdles. Benjamin Gardner in midget boys with gold in the 80 meter hurdles and high jump (where he set a new Summer Games record) and a silver in the 400 meters; Alisha Gardner in bantam girls with a bronze in the long jump and silver medals in the high jump and 100 meters; Danielle Gardner in intermediate girls with golds in the shot, javelin and triple jump, and a silver in the discus; and Robert Gardner in youth boys with golds in the long jump, 100 and 200 meter hurdles. Also from the Flyers were Bethany Butler with golds in the 800 and 1500 meters bantam girls, Andrea Butler with golds in the 80 hurdles and high jump, and silver in the 400 meters; Ally Clegg with golds in the high jump and 100 meters, and silver in the long jump; Michelle Davis with a fourth in the long jump; Steffani Sellers with a gold in the 200 meters and a bronze in the 100 meters; Brooke Nielsen with a gold in the 1500 meters and silvers in the 800 and shot; Vanessa Nielsen with silvers in the 800 and 1500 meters, and a bronze in the shot; Logan Bench with a gold in the 100, bronze in the 200 and fourth four-th place in the long jump; Rachelle Dixon with a gold in the 200, silver in the 100 and bronze in the 80 meter hurdles; and Matt Williams with a fourth in the shot put For the Wildcats, Ryan Bor-rowman Bor-rowman won gold in the 3000 meter steeplechase; Andrew Scivally was fourth in the 400 meters; Michelle Devey won golds in the 100 meters and 200 meters; Angie Cook won gold in the 100 meter hurdles and silver in the 100 meters; Tara Jamie Lovell took gold in the 800 meters and silver in the 3000 meter walk; Stacy Haraldsen took silvers in the 3000 meter walk and 400 meter hurdles; and Jennifer Gerber took gold in the 400 meter hurdles and silver in the 3000 meter walk. Wildcat relay teams also took gold in the 400 meter speed walk (Haraldsen, Tara Anderson, Gerber and Lovell); the 400 meter dash (Cook, Lovell, Gerber and Devey), and silver in the 1600 meter relay (Devey, Lovell, Gerber, Anderson).
