Show Suspect arrested By JANIS STUART FARMINGTONThe Davis County Sheriffs Department conducted con-ducted an investigation into a reported fraud or theft of services situation. The Layton City Police Department requested the assistance Davis County-because;-;- the sUuaJipaolyed aIy4ocity4- employee. I After an extensive, long term in- vestigation, Lesha Hadfield has been charged with second degree felony and theft. Charges stemmed from an incident inci-dent at Clarence Knight Chevrolet before it changed ownership. Hadfield was employed as the executive secretary for Police Chief Doyle Talbot when she took her car to the dealership for repairs. The investigation showed Hadfield was given an estimate of the damages and repairs were- made. Allegedly, no payment was ever received for services. Claims were supposedly made by the defendant that she paid a person on the showroom floor of the business, in cash, but did not obtain ob-tain a receipt , According to Detective Glenn S. Parker, of the Davis County Sheriff's Department, "It is customary for one city to request the assistance of another when a city employee is involved." A' hearing for Hadfield is scheduled for the first part of January. , ' |
