None of the three major malls-Layton malls-Layton Hills, Ogden City or New gate, was "on line" at that time. Finance provides jobs for 3,470 compared to just under 3,000 back in 1978, with its percentage share dropping, however, from 32 percent per-cent to three percent Government's share stood ; at 33320 jobs for the 36 percent total and has grown to 38,260, with just under one in three now working in that job sector. Although manufacturing has shown steady growth during the period, up from 12.91Q jobs to 16,260, its overall percentage has stayed about the same, now at 13.9 percent.
