Show Family skills training Most of us are concerned about the many problems adolescents are facing. It seems like a day doesn't go by without hearing about teenage teen-age pregnancy, substance abuse, suicide, or a myriad of other problems. prob-lems. We wonder what can be done to prevent these things from happening hap-pening in our own family. Starting on Oct. 13, the Parent Education Resource Center will present the "Families in Action" mini-series classes. Families in Action Ac-tion explores some key areas that ultimately influence the quality of family life. The classes provide an opportunity oppor-tunity to enhance communication skills and develop a better understanding under-standing within the family. The Vectors, a local psychodrama group will be featured. This three-part program will be presented in cooperation with Davis County Community Mental Health. It will be held Oct. 13, 20, and 27 at 7 p.m. at the Bountiful Mental Health Center, 470 Medical Drive, Bountiful. The cost is $10 per family. Preregistration is required and can be accomplished by visiting the Parent Education Resource Center at 100 South 200 E., Farmington, or by calling 451-5071. |
