Show Davis Danrtboard QBy AMBER WORKMAN ("Seventy-Five Years We Can ast Forever" will be the theme for this year's Homecoming at Davis High. Sept. 23 launches the festivities with an assembly in the fieldhouse, beginning at 9:30 a.m. All Davis Alumni are invited to be in attendance, and if possible, the school would like to recognize the alumni present. If you are a graduate of Davis High, and are planning to come to the assembly, please contact Karyn Bertelsen through the school. The traditional luncheon will take place following the assembly, and the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Kaysville, on Main Street. Every aspect of the school will be portrayed in our parade, pa-rade, and all organizations are encouraged en-couraged to participate. The football game is next on the schedule, where the Darts will be battling it out against the Wildcats of Woods Cross. The Homecoming Dance will take place the following evening, the 24th in the cafeteria. The senior girls on the Homecoming Home-coming Royalty ballot for this year include: Stephanie Allen, Jennifer Cragun, Melanie Fillmore, Lauri Giles, Nannette Green, Tracie Pearson, Mikelle Schlupp, Sandy Smith, and Sai'ah Watkins. The cafeteria will be decorated in dark green, peach and ivory with previous yearbooks on display and a Victorian Park flavor. Refreshments Refresh-ments will be served, and a special surprise is in store for all those in attendance. Further announcements include: in-clude: a musical review by the Musical Productions Company, "The Best of Broadway," introducing intro-ducing the talented members of this year's cast, Oct. 8, 10 and 11. Also, the child development department de-partment would like to make known their desire to begin a day care. Everyone is invited to come support sup-port the upcoming activities; and more, as we strive to keep the pride and tradition of Davis High going strong! |
