A benefit concert to help defray the exorbitant medical costs will be held at Woods Cross High School on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Benefit concert for Brayden set By JUDY JENSEN Editor WOODS CROSS Two premier pre-mier vocal groups will join their voices in a benefit concert'for 15-month 15-month old liver transplant recipient, reci-pient, Brayden Seymour. Proceeds Pro-ceeds from the concert will help to pay the enormous medical expenses ex-penses still owed, due to the transplant trans-plant operation the young Kaysvil-le Kaysvil-le boy underwent on January 31. The "Evening of Music and Love" will be presented by the Bountiful Sweet Adelines and the Beehive Statesman at the Woods Cross High School auditorium on June 28 at 7:30 p.m. The two groups are well known for their exceptional ex-ceptional musical talents. Their repertoires re-pertoires include a wide variety of barbershop music and their outstanding out-standing harmony has been widely acclaimed. According to Brayden's mother, Shannon, he has been progressing very well since his return to his home May 30. "Brayden has had to be hospitalized due to infections twice since then, but he is really doing well. He is bright, alert and happy and we feel very grateful to all of those who have been so generous gen-erous with their donations." Brayden still returns to Primary Children's Hospital on an outpatient out-patient basis two times each week for treatments. His treatment and medications will be ongoing throughout his life. There will be no admission charged for the benefit concert on Tuesday, but donations for the Brayden Seymour fund will be accepted at the door. Friends and family who have organized the concert encourage everyone to attend an evening of fun and entertainment. |
