Show Paramedics to recertify Thirty-four of the Davis County Sheriff's Department Deputy. Sheriff-Paramedics will recertify again this year. After graduating from the Weber State College's Paramedic Program, Prog-ram, each working paramedic must test to recertify after the first two years then every four years thereafter. there-after. Six of the sheriffs 34 paramedics para-medics must pass a recertification test this year, certify in advanced cardiac life support and obtain a written statement of physical fitness fit-ness as well as obtain a recommendation recommen-dation from the department's physician advisor. These paramedics are: Chris Frost, R. Tadd Lowe, Neal Wagner, Wag-ner, David Harris, Paul Rogers and Dan Ye am an. The other 28 paramedics must, each and every year between testing test-ing processes, submit to the State Department of Health, proof of at least 25 hours of CME hours (Continuing (Con-tinuing Medical Education) and a current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification. It has been rumored that the average av-erage "burn out" for a working paramedic pa-ramedic is about five years. Many of Davis County's paramedics have maintained their certifications certifica-tions for more than five years and some as many as 10 years of dedicated dedi-cated service to the residents of Davis County. |
