Show Connection features records, handicrafts by VERDO THOMAS i Chronicle Staff Even in the need for a refreshing treat-like maybe a super-long, huge hmarine sandwich? Perhaps you've been looking the longest time for that LP that either isn't available or cost too darn much and may put the hurtin' on your rather thin pocket book. Well you can find both of the above necessities of life at the Connection Con-nection Shop,888 South, Ninth East. And that isn't all that you'll find. Besides purchasing a delicious sandwich and used album from a usually wide selection, there are books to be bought from an equally wide selection. The Connection is owned by Jack Bills and his partner Larry Chad-wick. Chad-wick. The shop will be a year old in November and expects many years to come. Local handcrafts are featured there. Candles, jewelry, odds and ends and smoking accessories are available in this line. "We have imported tapestries and hand-woven baskets that are a little cheaper than most places," said Kerry Welch, a worker there. "We also have a sort of public service thing here. That is we hang up notices for various concerns in the city," he explained. "Our submarine sandwiches are sold to the Camelot South and the Falcon club besides here," he said. Shop days run from Monday through Saturday. The shop is open on these days from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Connection is the perfect browsing place for the University student. Besides, where else can you find a place that sells so many things and to top it off, submarine sandwiches? |
