CaEbc 2-17cp 19. Ebc 20. Na jp Strike a blow Editor: As one who is a non-Mormon and definitely a non-male, I wasn't sure how to react to the letter I received inviting me to join Sigma Gamma Chi. My first feeling was that I had been insulted, especially when I read the part which promised me that membership would fulfill all my "extra-curricular needs," including in-cluding my quest for "good-looking girls." "Look us over," they advised, "as much as you need us, we need you." To which my impulse was to j reply, "Keep away, you animals." ' ' My second reaction was more rational. These cases of mistaken ! identity happen all the time. My ' friend Stephanie has long been re-ij re-ij signed to receiving mail from the " Army, the Marine Corps, and her (I,, draft board, since the government JH,; figured it was just an avant-grade sj,,, spelling for Stephen. Another friend 5,, traces her inferiority complex to the day the gas station attendant yelled, jB "You've got the wrong key, sonny." But one might as well make the best of such things. Sigma Gamma Chi is obviously taking a more liberal li-beral and broadminded stance. In keeping with the present trend doing do-ing away with discriminatory practices prac-tices in all fields, the fraternity must be opening its membership to many groups which, a few years ago, would not even have been , considered. According to the letter I re-' re-' ceived, "its membership is open to all who are willing to adhere to the standards of the fraternity." Who knows?
