Show jnSajLPalace Chicanos slate state meetin. The Salt Palace is the site of the first State-wide Chicane Conference Con-ference to be held Oct. 29 and 30. It is sponsored by the Spanish-speaking Spanish-speaking Committee on Government Employment tor developing and implementing a plan for action in solving the problems of Chicanos in Utah. Eleven workshops are scheduled in the Conference to deal w.th major problems in the areas of: Employment, education, migrant, cultural awareness, economic development, justice, welfare, stereo-typing attitudes, housing health, and community organization. organiza-tion. The workshops will be open to anyone and discussions will center around: a) cause and problems; b)recommended solutions; and c) the drafting of a follow-up action plan for implementing im-plementing solutions.
