Show Student report accepted with enfktai Basic feelings and sentiments in the Department of Education toward to-ward the Renewal in Teacher Education Edu-cation report released last spring show agreement and enthusiasm according to Dr. Earl W. Harmer Jr., chairman of the department. The report was prepared by the Student Education Association (SEA) an on-campus student branch of the Utah Education Association. "However," Dr. Harmer said, "we are a diverse staff of nearly 40, who would like a few changes made in the report." He added that many staff members felt that the report wasn't vigorous enough and that more changes should be considered. Constructive Report "It isn't a radical report, but a very constructive one." Dr. Harmer Har-mer emphasized. "Many of the recommendations are already in practice. A general feeling of student participation is department affairs that affect them is outlined in the report. Dr. Harmer said that students are included on all major faculty committees except the salary and tenure committee, and possess voting privileges.
