Show fxec Council to distribute Attainment discount cards The Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU) Executive Council purchased 6,000 discount cards from Merrill Scott and Company Thursday, to ' go on sale to the studentbody at large sometime this week for $2. Efforts to sale the tickets will be distributed into three groups: Any approved campus organi-zalion organi-zalion or committee, or University Uni-versity student may purchase the discount card in lots of 50 from ASUU for $50. The tickets will also be sold through commissioned student salesmen which will be employed by a general manager appointed by ASUU. ASUU will provide for advertising adver-tising and may sell cards from strategic locations, Huddle Booth, Union Main Desk, etc. No ASUU officer will receive any salary for this endeavor, but they may work as salesmen and receive the normal nor-mal commission. The discount cards are honored at the Salt Lake Golden Eagles hockey games, Gorgoza ski resort, Roy Rogers Restaurants, Pizza Huts, Firestone stores, H. Salt ESQ and the Terrace Ballroom. Randy Buchmiller, ASUU Programs Pro-grams Board Chairman, stated that ASUU is justified in purchasing pur-chasing the tickets as a service to University students. Buchmiller stated that the endeavor will not only put money back into ASUU funds but it will also create jobs for University students. |
