Mrs. Pearl Grubb spent last Friday night in Salt Lake City with a girl friend. j Mrs. George Massa visited with Mrs. Everett Nichol at IJ)S hospital in Salt Lake City Tues-- ; day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Feno Xaiz and daughter Frances of Midvalc were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Seor-zat- o and family. Amy Miya and Olga Chanak arrived home Monday from Los Angeles, Calif., for a two weeks visit with their parents. Both are taking nurses training at Los Angeles General hospital. Edna Hawkins of Salt Lake; 'City visited Tuesday evening at; the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Hawkins and family. O Thursday from a leisurely trip through the southwest. First they visited with their son Gary and wife at El Paso, Texas, and while there they went to Mat-amoro- s, Mexico. From there they traveled westward visiting the capitols of New Mexico, 'Nevada and California. They went via Yuma, Ariz., enjoying the beauties of the desert des-- j pitc the heat. They followed the coastline from San Diego to Crescent City, Calif., w here they visited the redwoods and were deeply impressed with the trees of mystery where Paul Bunyon and the blue ox hold sway. While in San Diego they visited a county fair near there where they took in the exhibits and were especially impressed by the beautiful floral display. They also took a jaunt to Tijuana, Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rakich and family were dinner guests Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Churchich of Salt Lake City. Jerry and Robert King have been spending the past week with their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Shea and family of Sandy. Jerry came home Tues i "highland boy; Mrs. Frances B. Hawkins Ph. 598-- Tuesday visitors at the High-land Boy Community House were Mrs. Esther Boodagh and Mrs. Nellie Carliss of Michigan. The Community House staff enjoyed overnight camp at Spruces in Big Cottonwood can-yon last Thursday night. Community House will be closed tomorrow, Friday, July 24th for the Pioneer day holi-day. Mr. and Mrs. Royal Shields and sons, Michael, Jackie and David, and guest, Joyce of Salt Lake Healey City spent a lovely Sunday afternoon visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Shields of Tooele. Joyce is spending a few days ut the Royal Shields home. Mr. and Mrs. David O. Stuker and daughters, Connie and Elsie, returned Tuesday from a lovely vacation to Seattle, Wash., Ore-gon and Grand Coulee dam. Their son, Lynn, stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Roland Robertson in Grace, Idaho. Another son, David, is spending the summer in Logan with Mr. and Mrs. John Christensen and daughter Joline. He is working there. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Farley, who were injured in a car acci-dent, came home Tuesday from the hospital. They are both do-ing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cow- - at a luncheon Saturday after-noon for Mrs. Gladys O'Conner of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Douglas Campbell and son of Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McDon-ald and Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Milner and children, Mickey and Pearl of Copperton, Mrs. Ray Carl and children, Joe and Joan and Frankie Marcon of Idaho Falls, Idaho, left Monday morn-ing for California. Gleaner Girls of Copperton Ward held an outing at Butter-fiel- d canyon Tuesday, July 21. They played Softball and all kinds of other games after which a weinie roast was enjoyed. Af-terwards more games were play-ed. Later in the evening Glean-er girls of Lark Ward joined them. Girls participating were Carolyn Stoddart, Janell Han-sen, Jeanne Hausknecht, Joyce Rawlings, Doris Abplanalp, Gay Armitstead and LaDean Ham. Mrs. Lola Cole is their teacher. J. Dewey Knudsen, V. S. Bar-low and R. E. Hansen enjoyed fishing at Strawberry Reservoir last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Davis and family and Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fike and Patty Lee, Freddie and Bill, spent last Saturday at Saratoga. Mrs. Dale Johnston of Bing-ham was a .Tuesday afternoon visitor of Mrs. Bob Hansen.
