Show : local notes: Mr. and Mrs. Alger Baum attended at-tended the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. outing held at Brighton last Friday night. The occasion pleasantly surprised Mr. Baum who was honored on his retirement after 23 years with the company. He was presented pre-sented a plaque. About 80 were in atliinH.'inpp House guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dan R. Prigmore and family are ,Mrs. Prigmore's parents, brother broth-er and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Meyers, Lloyd and Cleona and JoAnn Wilson, all of Lincoln, Nebr. The visitors who are en-route en-route home from California, arrived ar-rived Sunday. The whole group i left Wednesday morning to spend the 24th holiday at Strawberry Straw-berry reservoir. Monday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. John Susaeta were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Erlenbach of Midvale and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Birk-lovich Birk-lovich of California. Mr. and Mrs, Susaeta took the visitors on a visit to the mine and later all enjoyed a luncheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Susaeta. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris had as house guest last week ' their sister in law, Mrs. C. W. Wimmer of Ogden. She came last Wednesday and visited over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Watkins and grandchildren, Joe Susaeta and Susan Pino, left Tuesday to spend two days at Provo canyon. Canyon Party Butterfield canyon was the scene of a delightful summer outing on Monday evening held by No. 1 Firemen, Auxiliary and their families. A delicious picnic pic-nic supper was served. Games, a community sing and program was enjoyed. A gift was presented pre-sented to Hosmer Peterson by the auxiliary for assisting them with their float. Several other awards were also given. In charge of arrangements were Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Wally Swenson, Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Scroggin and Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Stillman. About 50 were present and a very good time was had by alL |
