Cleverly later advanced to third on a wild pitch, and Campbell chalked up another rbi on his second sacrifice fly. The only major threat Idaho State was able to generate in the ' game came in the sixth inning. But with the bases loaded and only one out, ISU's Ted Loveday hit a ground ball to Garcia who tagged the runner going by and then tossed to first base for a double play to end the inning. Hardy, who went four innings giving up two hits and two walks while striking out six, was given credit for the win. Cleverly and Weidner each collected two of Utah's five hits, and Clopper the "' other. Snow Helps The snow was a welcome occurrence occur-rence from Utah's point of view as Idaho State racked up five quick runs in the top of the first inning before a halt was called in the second game. All five runs were scored after two were out. A triple drove in the first two tallies, while a single a passed ball and two throwing errors accounted for the remaining remain-ing three runs. The ninth ISU batter of the inning was at the plat when the game was called. The non-Western Athletic Conference Con-ference (WAC) victory raised Utah's season mark to 15-9-1.
