Spring means longer days and warm nights when the trees and flowers and lights of the city add a romantic touch to the "U" campus. With a new quarter beginning, students are looking forward to lounging on the green lawns and scruffing around in a touch, football game. Spring also means lighter loads in academia for most people. ...,.. . . i j I 1 I . 1 Paper bags full of books, brief cases full again after they were emptied at the end of last quarter are the constant partner of students at the beginning of the quarter. AS "U" students begin their third quarter with less than an avid enthusiasm their thoughts go to what summer jobs will be available for them when they get out of the academic grind. Their applications are beginnning to come back from Yellowstone or Jackson Hole and the really lucky ones are planning out their summer trek through Europe, flatly denying that they will be "a typical American tourist." But all these things are for the months after June and their present task is to learn, to try to assimilate a knowledge which will be of value when they get out in a "profession" of their own. r ' r ;' J f r- ; r - . - Photography by Eldon Barrowes |
