Show Greeks anticipate Winter Weekend I J-,-: m - i For the first time in many years the Greek Winter Weekend will not be hurting for lack of snow. At least the recent storms have been good for something. The annual winter quarter weekend will be held Friday at Solitude and will include the traditional ski races, bridge tournament, snow sculpture and stomp. Points will be awarded the winner of every event and the house with the most points will receive a trophy at the end of the festivities. Snow Sculpture The snow sculpture contest will begin the weekend with the judging slated for Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The different fraternities and sororities will compete between each other for the prize. The bridge tournament will be held at the Solitude Lodge at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. Forty people are expected to enter the contest, representing the different houses on campus. The contest is being conducted by an official of the Bridge Center. An entrance fee of $1 will be charged each participant. Skiing Races Held The skiing races will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Solitude. The giant slalom course will be set-up by Rich Groth, the University ski coach.
