Show Hinckley offers internship for summer Opportunities for a summer in politics were announced this week by the Hinckley Institute of Politics. They are $400 a month internships with Senators Wallace F. Bennett (R-Utah) and Frank E. Moss (D-Utah) and Rep. Sherman Lloyd in Washington, D.C., and with the two state party chairmen, Republican Richard Richards and Democrat John Klas in Utah. Seniors and graduate students in any field of study are eligible to apply for the internships which will be held from June 16 to September 15. Selection is based on 50 per cent scholastic aptitude, 25 per cent political and other related experience and 25 per cent character and general references. Three applicants are nominated for each post with the winner being selected by the officer under which the intern will serve. Applications can be found on campus bulletin boards and in the Inter-Cultural Center 123. All applications are due by Monday, Feb. 10. |
