Show Newspapers Make News A column entitled, "College," in the May issue of GLAMOUR Magazine Mag-azine examines the new editorial freedom of college newspapers and suggests that "the financial position posi-tion of the college papers is the vital element in their degree of editorial independence." College newspapers are acting as an outlet for existing student opin ion, and, at the same time, they are arousing and channeling student stud-ent interest in a variety of subjects extending from campus life to the farthest battlefield. At times, the influence of a col- . lege paper can be quite decisive, as GLAMOUR points out in the May issue. |
