Show University Men's Chorus To Sing Wednesday known as one of the finest vocal instructors in-structors in the western states. The chorus presents programs at high schools throughout the year, participated in the Christmas Choral Chor-al Festival, and recently toured and sang in southern Utah for five days. The chorus is known through-out the West, and once appeared with Danny Thomas on television and raised $12,000 for charity. The University Men's Chorus will present a concert, Wednesday, 8 p.m. in Kingsbury Hall. It is free to the public. The program will consist of selections selec-tions of serious, love and light music. Besides the chorus, Jay O. An-drus An-drus will sing solo selections and Alan J. Ball will solo on the piano. The University chorus is a select group of 25 men. Stephen Snow, chorus president, said men are auditioned and selected select-ed each fall, with some new members mem-bers added at other times during the year. The chorus is 50 years old, and is the oldest musical group on campus. cam-pus. John Marlowe Nielson has directed di-rected the chorus since 1948. Mr. Nielson is the co-founder and director of the University Civic Chorale, and is also director of the Salt Lake Oratorio Society. He is |
