Show Dr. Cave Receives Associate Deanship ; . . I ' ' ' I. 1 ! ' . )- ' ' J ' Dr. Alfred A. Cave, associate professor- of history and director of the Honors Program, at the University Uni-versity of Utah, has been appointed Associate Dean of the College of Letters and Science. The appointment, effective immediately, im-mediately, was approved Monday by the Board of Regents. Dr. Milton Voigt, dean of the college, col-lege, said Professor Cave, "Is widely wide-ly respected as a committee worker and a skilled and articulate parliamentarian. par-liamentarian. His new associate deanship involves the responsibility of supervising departments and faculty fac-ulty in the areas of social sciences and humanities." Dr. Cave received his F.A. degree de-gree from Linfield College, Oregon, in 1957 and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Florida in 1959 and 1961. He was a member of the faculty of the University of Florida previous to coming to the University of Utah in 1962. Dr. Cave became director of the Honors Program last July.
