Committees Com-mittees still open are Games, Coign of Coze, Panorama, Folk and Square Dancing, Dance, Red Ember, and Married Students. All students interested are urged to apply for one of these chairmanships chair-manships or memberships on any Union committees, Miss Thiriot said. The recently appointed committee com-mittee chairman are: Richard Sherlock, National Issues Forum; For-um; Kathy Warner, This Week We Honor; Joan Greer, At Home; , Reed Walsh, Browsing Room; Rick Kammerman, Dark Room; Dan Collins, Live Talent; Connie Whittaker and Arthur Rubin, Union Movies; Kent Clader, Spotlight; Mary Wood, Art Exhibits; Peter Dixon, Soundoff, Bill Morgan, Jazz; Debbie Powell, Special Events. Union Programs Council Chairman Toni Thiriot, starting a re-organization of the CounciJ and Union committees, has established es-tablished two new posts and two committees. She has also appointed ap-pointed chairman to Union programming pro-gramming committees, except Games, Coign of Coze, Panorama, Panor-ama, Dance, Folk and Square Dancing, and Red Ember. Miss Thiriot has divided the committees' publicity work between be-tween two Programs Council members. Formerly each member, mem-ber, also chairman of a Union committee, was responsible for publicity for his committee. The two newly appointed members will now handle all publicity for all events sponsored by a Union group. Former Darkroom Committee Com-mittee Chairman Kerry Mer-back Mer-back will handle Union publicity with the Chronicle and Taffy Howells will be in charge of all other publicity. The two chair manships, according to Miss Thiriot, were- established in hopes of obtaining better publicity pub-licity so that more students would find out about activities and become involved in this aspect as-pect of University life. Summer Programs She has also started a Summer Sum-mer Programs committee to organize or-ganize activities during summer quarter when the other programming pro-gramming committee are usually usu-ally inactive. The chairman of this group is Tammy Ogura, former chairman of the Special Events Committee which co-sponsored co-sponsored with the Chatter Committee Com-mittee the "Jet Set Focus On ..." programs winter quarter.
