Show I Food Service Makes New against the- group, but felt it' necessary to take the following steps to insure communication of Union policies to groups using University facilities: (1) The Board will define, in terms of law and precedent what constitutes a lottery. This definition will be spelled out to groups applying for Union use (2) A clearer and more definite meanS Of con, and estahi-:- whKether -: for combined r:: ' Union Board in their weekly ; meeting Wednesday, voted to change opening and closing hours in the Huddle and Crimson Commons and agreed on action to clarify and solidify Union re--gulations on lotteries. j SINCE shortly after the opening open-ing of the Crimson Commons, the Huddle has been closed on weekends while the Commons remained open. In response to an appeal from Dean Kofoed, Food Services director, that the hours of operation were resulting result-ing in a loss of money, the board changed the policy so that the Huddle will be open on weekends week-ends while the Commons will be closed. Beginning Monday, the Commons Com-mons will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday Thurs-day and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. The Huddle will be open each day until the Union closes. Cafeteria hours will not be affected. The Food Service has agreed to increase the Huddle's Hud-dle's Sunday night menu for the benefit of on-campus students. THE PROBLEM of lotteries arose after a sorority was found . to have held a raffle in violation j of Union regulations. The Board j voted not to impose sanctions 1 |
