Show As Autumn Leaves It has been a disappointing quarter. Six weeks of the fall term have quietly disappeared into the sunset very quietly. The elections went as predicted pre-dicted only more so. There was no thrilling upset no victory to make under-dogs everywhere every-where take heart. The quarter is half gone and there has been no art controversyno contro-versyno student rioting in the park building. The football team has been doing so well that there has been no excuse to hang Coach Nagel in effigy or to demand a de-emphasis of athletics. There have been no real at-temps at-temps to censor the Chronicle. True a few disgruntled Young Americans for Freedon have made ominous threats but there has been no action no bombs thrown through the office off-ice window no pickets in front of the door. No one has discovered pornographic por-nographic literature in a dusty corner of the bookstore. Not one unclad female has jumped from a fraternity house window. win-dow. Even the huddle coffee has been tasting like coffee. Almost makes one want to go to BYU for a little excitement. |
