MR. WILSON directed the play. Dr. Keith M. Engar, executive director of the theatre, today issued a special invitation to students to see "Man For All Seasons" because of the unique nature of the play. "The central figure, Sir Thomas More, is known as a great writer and thinker and a man of conviction who died rather than compromise his principles. "Yet, as a contemporary described him: 'Mor-.-is a man of an angel's wit and singular learning I know not his fellow. For where is the man of that gentleness, lowliness and affability? And as time requireth, a man of marvelous mirth ami pasttimes; and sometimes of as sad a gravity; a man for all seasons.' "ROBERT BOLT HAS created a character to match the model. The dialogue is witty and beautiful. beau-tiful. Mr. Wilson has assemebled a distinguished cast to do justice to the play." Engar pointed out that students may attend any performance at half-price with an activity book. ENGAR STATED THAT students will find the production one of the great experiences of their college career. |
