STRESSING THE POINT of leading "the freshman class to a successful year," are the two candidates running for the position of class president, Hooper Knowlton and Jan Bagley. Under the pressure of an unusual campaign, each presidential JANE EDWARDS . . . P.C. finalist. STEVE WOODBURY I ... Treasurer finalist. LESLIE MEADOWS . . . Treasurer finalist. JEFF CANNON . . . P.C. finalist. candidate hoped to lead his class to "the top." ' IT WOULD appear, from their statements, that the entire presidential presi-dential platform will be based on a need for class unity, the continuance con-tinuance of the Freshman Cabinet, Cabi-net, more class participation in school committees, and the urgency ur-gency of class distinction. Also on the roster are Rick Bird and Bob Bacon. These two will be battling for the position of freshman class vice president. ACCORDING TO both these candidates, "This is an office which will need a man who is capable of handling legislative problems as well as assistance to the class president." The other finalists are as follows: fol-lows: Leslie Meadows and Steve Woodbury for class treasurer. Estelle Sperros and J o A n n Eardley will be vying for position posi-tion of secretary. The office of personnel coordinator coordi-nator will be fought for between Jane Edwards and Jeff Cannon. TOMORROW, on the U n i o n Patio, each of these candidates will state his platform and answer an-swer questions that may arise. The entire freshman class is urged to attend this informative informal debate. Each of these eight candidates will be fighting for success in the Friday election. Every freshman fresh-man is advised to vote. Every freshman is reminded to bring his student activity card to the polls. The election committee said yesterday, "It is the freshman class that will suffer if the man in office is not capable of holding hold-ing his position. So vote for the qualified candidate in each office." |
