Show Mrs. Ann Christerisetl is spending a few days with pa.- i ents Mr. and Mrs. Douglas-Blackburn Douglas-Blackburn recuperating from a minor foot operation. Her three children are also enjoying the visit here. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall and two children and Bob Now-ers Now-ers left Wednesday for California, Califor-nia, to visit until Sunday with Mr. r.nd Mrs. Ray Hall of Los Angeles. Allen Jameson. 13. celebrated his birthday Monday evening with a party at his home, to which 20 friends were invited. Bingo was nlayed and the re-freshmen re-freshmen Is of barbecued ham-iloats. ham-iloats. a The Minersville Literary club met Monday evening at the home of Mfs. Athene Roberts, j ho was assisted in her hostess duties by Mrs. Mary Gillins. "i'or This My Glory,'' by Paul Bailey, was' reviewed by Mrs. Janet Walker. "Of Interest to Worn n" was dismissed by Mrs. Bonnie Myers. Sixteen ladies were present to enjoy the evenings eve-nings entertainmnt, and re-frshments re-frshments of barbecued hamburgers ham-burgers and hot chocolate. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Howard Marshall Mar-shall were hosts to friends at a Tuesday evening hot' dinner party. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Blackburn, and Mr. and Mrs. Daisel Davis. The remainder of the evening ! was spent playing canasta. D A lovely hot dinner was served recently by Mrs. Rema Limb, in celebration of the birthday of her husband, Earl. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hollingshead, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Davis, Mr. and MrS. Marshall Hollingshead, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, i and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haycock. Sunday evening sacrament services were well attended by townspeople and especially the younger groups. A ladies trio, Ilene Gray, Yvonne Murdock and Reva Williams, sang a number, num-ber, accompanied by Mrs-. Truman. Tru-man. Teen age speakers were Barbara Fails, Sally Myers and Danean Davis. O Keith Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland Dalton, celebrated his eighth birthday Tuesday afternoon. Many little friends oame to participate in the fun and wish him Happy Birthday. Joint birthday parties were held at the Ray Davis home for their son Raymond and Lor- raine Gressman, daughter of I Mr. and Mrs. Neil Gressman, i both 10 years old. A lovely plate lunch was served their .friends, and each child had their own special birthday cake. Berdell Corbridge arrived home from Salt Lake Wednes day to spend the holiday with parents Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Corbridge. He is attending vo cational school, specializing in electronics. t : |
