I , "Milford's quota for this ! drawing is 125 pints," said Mrs. j Jerrie Kirk, Auxiliary presi-' presi-' derit,x "and the American Legion Auxiliary is adding its appeal to the urging of Jackie Williams, Wil-liams, blood procurement chairman, chair-man, that all eligible donors in the Milford area phone early for an appointment to give a pint of blood that may be used somewhere to save a life." Drawings will be between 2 and 7 o'clock Tuesday a'fter- noon, Mrs. Kirk said, and with i a record of never making a quota in Milford, she is making a special appeal for a record turnout at this drawing. "Prospective donors should not attempt to i&creen themselves," them-selves," Mrs. Kirk said. "The Red Cross will have a competent compe-tent doctor present for that purpose. Standards of donor acceptance are high, and the health and physical condition of the donor is guarded at all times. But all persons between 18 and 60 years of age are asked to make an appointment by phoning DU 7-2411, and give a pint of blood to save a life." |
