Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Eyre and family attended the St. George Temple one day this week, performing the necessary work to be sealed in marirage. Beaver Stake high priests motored mo-tored to St. George Saturday to perform temple work. A 2c Sonnie Roberts from March Field, Calif., visited his I parents and family during a 10-day 10-day leave. They visited in Salt Lake for three days with two sisters, Mrs. Ada James and Mrs. Jane Thiriot, also in Cedar City with a brother, Spencer E. Roberts. He returned to his base Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arshal Evans have received word that their son Wayne, who is in the Philippines Philip-pines with the U S Navy, will be home in about 11 months. This Week In MINERSVILLE By Mrs. Albateen Roberts 9 Mrs: Augusta Marshall was happy to have her children home for an overnight stay. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ashvvorth of Ruth, Nev.; Hubert Marshall and Mrs. Norma Aubrey of Salt Lake; and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Marshall of Springville were here. The family attended a wedding reception for a grandson, grand-son, Gary Atkin, and Mary Ellen Smith of Beaver, last Saturday, Sat-urday, in the Beaver First-Third First-Third Ward chapel. The nup. tials were at Ruth, Nev., with Bishop Anderson officiating. Sunday the family enjoyed a nice dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Limb. Our weather here has been extremely cold all during Feb-uary. Feb-uary. We hope spring is near. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Matthews were proud to honor their daughter, Leola, and Lee Gil-lins, Gil-lins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Gillins, with an outstanding wedding reception in the L D S recreation hall Saturday night. A program of talent was presented, pre-sented, and the newly weds were very attractive in formal dress. A large crowd showered them with gifts. Dancing was the highlight of the evening. The nuptials took place in the St. George Temple the same day, Saturday, Feb. 25th. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Holdaway and children of Cedar City visited vis-ited here Sunday with parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carter. Carla Roberts Underson of Wells, Nev., is vacationing here I |
