Show SIXTH GRADE SAETY PATROL EATS HAMBURGERS Fifty-two Milford Elementary School sixth graders spent last Friday afternoon playing soft- j ball and eating hamburgers, instead in-stead of worrying about English and arithmetic and spelling. They were being feted by Mayor Ray Kizer and the Milford Mil-ford City Council, and the afternoon aft-ernoon of fun and food was a "thank you" for their year's . work as members of the School : Safety Patrol. I At a special assembly on May 18th the children will receive safety patrol pins, awarded by the American Automobile Association, As-sociation, along with certificates j showing they have passed all I requ'rements to qualify them I as AAA School Safety Patrol i members. The two classes participating in the safety patrol duties were I sponsored by Corn C. Harvey, . sixth -grade teacher, and Glen Oldroyd, elementary school principal. Mayor Kizer officiated at the ball games, while wives of the I councilmen, and Councilmen ! Wes Bolton and Bud Bown cooked hamburgers to be served I with soda pop. Ice cream sand-. sand-. wiches topped off the afternoon. i |
