Show 'COMMENCEMENT WEEK TO WIND UP ,'55 SCHOOL YEAR Commencement exercises at Milford High on Thursday, May 19th, climaxing a full week of graduation activities, will feature fea-ture addresses by four honor students and the class president. Monty Ashworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Ashworth, is president of the senior class, and other honor speakers will be Leland Beard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leland (Skip) Beard; Jean-ette Jean-ette Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams; Patricia Pat-ricia Gronning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle F. Gronning, and Earl Stonehocker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Stonehocker. Commencement week activities activi-ties will start at 7 p. m. Sunday Sun-day with baccalaureate exercises. exercis-es. Prof. W. Cleon Skousen, d;rector of public service at Brigham Young University, will ! be the baccalaureate speaker. ! Rev. J. H. Valine of St. Bridget's Brid-get's Catholic Church will give the invocation, and Sheldon Seltzer, pastor of the Milford Seventh-day Adventist Chtfrch, the benediction. Others on the program will include a ladies' trio, Bonnie Easton, Josephine Killam and Geraldine Kirk, wtih two numbers; Mrs. Bonnie Snelson and Dan. Ferguson, each offering a vocal solo, and Mrs. Gwendolyn Smith, playing the processional and recessional. recession-al. I The annual honor and award assembly is planned for 2 p. m. Tuesday, with the faculty directing di-recting the first half of the program, pro-gram, and the senior class assembly as-sembly making up the remainder. |
