A Primary Convention was held at Parowan Sept. 11 and 12. P,( aver and Paro-van Stakes j combined for these meetings. 1 Sister Edna Faux and Sister Lowry were the visiting General Board members and gave some timely and interesting messages j in helping- the various wards to strengthen their Primary work. Corre'ation meeting, second Sunday each month, immediately after Sunday School. Ward Boy Leadership meeting j third Sunday each month, immediately imme-diately after Sunday School. Ward Teachers Report meet ing, second Monday of each month, 9 p. m. Genealogy meeting, every other oth-er Monday. Geneealogy meeting was held at the A. A. Jones home Sept. 10 at 8 p. m. The lesson on Heirship Heir-ship was ably given by Beth Fisher. The next meeting will be held at the P. B. Fisher home, Wednesday, Sept. 24. All are welcome. Sunday School last Sunday morning was under the direction of Lorraine Gillins. Sacrament meeting was under the d lection cf Bro. Calvin Bartholomew. Bar-tholomew. Speakers were High Councilmen Carlyle Gronning pnd Charles Jameson from Min ersville. Mrs. Jameson accom- pamed her husband. Tlie Fireside group met at the Dwight Carter home Sunday evening. eve-ning. This group is composec. of members of both wards. Sis r ivjvrue Hansen ;s tne teacher. Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting. The Second Ward will hold a big carnival the 27th of the month. Each family is asked to donate some salable article. Each auxiliaiy organization will sponsor spon-sor a booth for things to sell. Let's all support the b shopric in this worthy cause. Correlation meeting was held after Sunday School. All officers offi-cers and teachers of the ward are to be at these meetings. The Junior Sunday School was under the direction of Florence Flor-ence Myers. The Relief Society held their ward Visiting Teachers convention, conven-tion, social and luncheon Tuesday, Tues-day, Sept. 16th. Don Larson was released as superintendent of the MIA, and Shirl W. Nichols was sustained sus-tained to fill this position. Junior Fireside CFiat was held at Sharon Christensen's. We would like to encourage more young people to attend this Fireside group. Next Sunday is Dime Sunday for the Sunday School. We would like to encourage everyone to attend. We are happy with the large attendance we have had recently. Genealogy meeting- will be held at Don Larson's at 8 p. m. on Mondays. Anyone who can spare a few hours of their time, please come and he.p prepare the chapel for the seats. |
