Show I DEMOCRATS TO GREET LEADERS FRIDAY IN BEAVER W. Averill Harriman, mutual security administrator and an unsuccessful contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, nomina-tion, will visit Beaver Friday afternoon during his two-day tour of Southern Utah.. Martell Easton, Beaver Democratic leader, lead-er, will be in charge of the Beaver Beav-er arrangements, it was announced an-nounced by Mrs. Eya Stonehock-er Stonehock-er ,county Democratic chairwoman. chair-woman. Milton L. Weilenmann, Democratic Demo-cratic state chairman, said the celebrated visitor will travel by plane to Cedar City, where he begins his automobile tour of the southern part of the state. He will be accompanied by Walter K. Granger, Democratic nominee for the U S Senate; Mayor Earl J. Glade, Democratic gubernatorial guberna-torial candidate; Representative Reva Beck Bosone, Democratic candidate for reelection to Congress, Con-gress, and Ernest R. McKay, Democratic candidate for Congress Con-gress in the First district. The group will make their Beaver appearance at 2:45 p. m., Mrs. Stonehocker said. "Mr. Harriman's tour will be the bebinning of a plan to have a speaker of national prominence in almost every community of any size in the state," Mrs. Stonehocker Stone-hocker said. '"President Truman will speak at Provo on Oct. 6, and Gov. Stevenson will speak in the L D S Tabernacle in Salt Lake on Oct. 7 or 8. Later in the month, we expect a visit in. Beaver County from New York Congressman Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr." |
