Gerald Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Myers, underwent an appendectomy Sunday at the Milford Hospital. LaVon Griffiths, Dan Davis and Royal Wood enjoyed a fishing fish-ing trip over the week-end at Bounds Reservoir in the Boulder Fire of undetermined origin caused considerable damage to the home of Mr, and Mrs. Wil-ford Wil-ford Robinson Monday. The newly remodeled kitchen and porch suffered major damage. Mrs. Robinson, who had been vacationing in California, arrived ar-rived home Monday afternoon. Fay Marshall suffered severe se-vere injuries Wednesday when he was pinned beneath a tractor trac-tor which overturned after striking a steep incline, on a ditch bank. Mr. Marshall lay beneath the vehicle for some time before his cries for help were heard by Goldie Marshall, Mar-shall, who extricated him. He was rushed' to the iron County Hospital at Cedar City, where he will undergo an operation opera-tion Thursday morning for a fractured pelvis and other injuries. in-juries. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Carter are elated over the arrival of a baby I girl, at 2 a. m. Thursday, in the ! Iron County Hospital. i Arthur Lightner will observe his 74th birth anniversary on Sept. 9th. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Kearney and boys of Salt Lake were visitors vis-itors at the Alba Gillins residence resi-dence on, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Boyter and son Clinton Ray returned home oyer the week-end from the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake, where the child underwent a series of tests to determine the cause of his recent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Sim Murdock were dinner guests df the Steve Williams home in Milford, Tues-, day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson Robin-son wish to thank all those who helped extinguish the fire at their home on Labor Day, and 1 Mountains. I Cecil Stewart underwent an operation last week at the Milford Mil-ford Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter and Patricia were shopping in Cedar City on Friday. Mrs. Alba Gillins was guest of honor last week when her sons and daughters and their families gathered at her home to wish her a happy birthday. The evening was enjoyed visiting, vis-iting, after which ice cream and cake were served. Mrs. Gillins received many nice gifts on her , 73rd birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Guymon and children of Cedar City spent Sunday in Minersville at the home of William Bradshaw. Mrs. Edna Baker returned home Sunday from a week's vacation va-cation in Bakersfield and Wasco, Calif., where she visited Mr. and i Mrs. Ray Baker and family and Mrs. Helen Tinsley. Larry Tins-ley, Tins-ley, who had spent several weeks with his grandparents in Minersville, Miners-ville, accompanied -his grandmother grand-mother to his home in California. Mrs. Beth Taylor . and two children of Farmington spent the week-end in Minersville, guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Rollins. |
