Show STATE FAIR TO FEATURE ATOM EXHIBIT SHOW Final arrangements have been completed for the exhibition of a million dollar show at the Utah State Fair, Sept. 13 thru 21. Thru the combined efforts of the Utah Civil Defense Council, the Federal Civil Defense Adminis-' Adminis-' Ttion and the- Valley Forge Foundation, the "Alert America" convoy, with its sensational Civil Defense exhibit, will be on view at the Industrial Arts Building. Admission will be free and state, city, county and civil defense de-fense officials are urging all who attend the fair to be sure to see "Alert America." The exhibit will arrive at the Fair Grounds on Sept. 9 in a convoy of 10 huge trucks. Billed as "the show that may save your life," the "Alert America" convoy combines authentic au-thentic information of the Civil Defense program at all levels with dramatic presentation technique. tech-nique. One of the outstanding features fea-tures of the show is a startling section showing the effects of an , atomic bomb on a typical American Amer-ican city. With accompanying sound and comments, spectators will see a city destroyed before their eyes and replaced by a mass of flaming rubble. Also on exhibit will be displays dis-plays of the use of atomic energy in peace on the farm, in the home and in the factory; the effect of weapons on cities and farms, what the citizen must do to protect himself and his family, and many other scientific exhibits exhib-its designed to show every person per-son what his "stake is in Civil Defense and what he must do to become part of it. |
