Show a California trip. While away they visited with Mrs. Whites sisters. Mrs Grace Jeppson of Hurricane Hurri-cane is here with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Lang. Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kohler and son Ned are in Salt Lake City on a 10-day vacation trip. Mr. and Mrs. Walter D. Griffiths Grif-fiths and son Tommy of Bur-bank, Bur-bank, Cal., and Mrs. Alta Hickman Hick-man and son Bill were callers From Pinehurst, Mass., are' Mrs J P- Spacer and two sons, . Noel and Patricia Benson of Blackfoot, Idaho, have been in i Milford at the home of Mrs. Benson's Ben-son's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Smith. i Gary Fotheringham, son of Mr and Mrs. Theo Fotheringham, Fothering-ham, spent a week with his grandmother, Mrs. Lettie Fotheringham. Foth-eringham. He reutrned to his home in Salt Lake last Monday. i at the C. R. Grimshaw home last Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Grimshaw this week begin their annual two , week vacation. This year they will spend most of the time at Hi-Low in the Beaver Mountains, where they are building a new summer cabin. j Mrs. Catherine Crosby and three children of Davis, Cal., have been taking care of the J Pitchforth household during the i absence of Mrs. Pitchforth. Mr. and Mrs. Crosby are now living in California, where Mr. Crosby is an R O T C instructor at j Davis college. Janet Ogburn of Yuba, Cal., is here with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Murdock, and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gordfln Murdock. Mr. and Mrs. Joey Murdock and son David were in Milford for the Fourth holidays. Wilma Schoo is home on an 18-day leave. Wilma is a Wave, stationed at Washington, D. C. Last week visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schoo were Mr. Schoo's sister, Mrs. J. B. Van Haigsman, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Henry Spykerman, both of Grand Rapids, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker are now living in the Kohler Apartments. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Goodwin of Pioche were here Saturday and Sunday, guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kirk. Mr, and Mrs. Myron Persons had the pleasure of entertaining Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hammond and son Frank, of Temple City, Cal., for a week. Mrs. Hammond Ham-mond is a sister of Mrs. Persons. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baker and children are spending their vacation in Denver. Mrs. Marie (Tiny) McGinty returned Saturday to her home in San Bernardino, Cal., after spending three weeks with her sister, Mrs. Flossie Rickerson, who suffered a broken ankle on June 18th. Mrs. McGinty also was a guest of her other sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Earl D. Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mills, i Wallace Morris of Los An-ge'es An-ge'es visited a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Morris. He returned to California Cali-fornia Sunday. Harry and Maude Mills are enjoying a two week vacation in Nevada and California. They will visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bud James in Fontana, Cal., before returning home. ' j Mr. and Mrs. Mack Gillins and ! Mrs. Lena Morris met Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tanner of Los Angeles, An-geles, in St. George last week, and the group went thru the L D S Temple. Mrs. Zuma Martin is in the Milford Hospital with a broken hip. While bending over in her wheel chair, July Fourth, she fell, breaking her hip ,and was helpless until a neighbor, Mrs. Ed Galloway, found her and summoned assistance. Friends of C. M. Wilton, former for-mer pastor of the Milford Methodist Meth-odist Church, will be pleased to learn that he is enjoying excellent excel-lent health, and is employed as night clerk at a St. Louis, Mo., hotel. Mr. Wilton would like to receive letters from his Milford friends, addressed to 1517 Stevens Stev-ens Ave So., Minneapolis, Minn - i Mrs. Beryl (Young) Hillary of ' Altadena, Cal., stopped in Milford Mil-ford one day last week, to visit Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Tribole. Mrs. Hillary is a former resident of Milford and graduated from Milford Mil-ford High school in 1925. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Fotheringham Fothering-ham and small son have moved Into their new rjome near the AT&T building. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rose are living in the home formerly occupied oc-cupied by Mr. and Mrs. Elvie Robinson. The Robinsons have moved to Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. William Stacy and five children of Phoenix were here for the July Fourth celebration, visiting with their friends, Rev. and Mrs. William Longacre. Barbara Stacy remained re-mained for an extended visit with the Longacres. Rev. William K. Longacre and Mrs. Alice Peckham attended the Nazarene Annual Assembly J last week. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Miller have moved to their new home, near the John R. Hardy home. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Desmond Des-mond are now living in the Marion Walker home. Vernon Hughes purchased a J new Pontiac Chieftain 8 sedan last week from the Service Garage, Gar-age, and Nadine Aaland became ! the owner of what Bob Tomsik described as "the last Pontiac for Milford until after the steel strike is settled." Bob and Marge have one new Stude Champion left for sale, they announced, after just about cleaning out their stock in the past week. The Spainhowers from Adamsville purchased a new Buick Super, A. L. McDonald McDon-ald acquired a beautiful "high yellow" Buick, Walt Griffiths came up from Los Angeles to buy a ned Roadmaster, Gene Mayer is driving a new Land-cruiser, Land-cruiser, and Jack Schow bought a new Stude Commander. Bob Tomsik recently sold the Board of Education a new 48-passenger 48-passenger International school bus to serve the Milford schools. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nichols of Salt Lake spent three days in Milford at the home of their son Shirl. They brought Sharon home. She had spent the past month in Salt Lake helping her grandmother, who has a broken arm. Blaine and Max returned with their grandparents for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gustin and two daughters of Nephi visited over the week-end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smithson. Bob Tomsik has purchased the Forgie Apartment building fro mAlfred M. Bealer. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe and Shanna Banks, Beaver County I Clinic employee, is now in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Cliff James, is working at the clinic during her I absence. Russell Grimshaw is expected home this Friday. William Cochrane Jr. has returned re-turned from Idaho, and accompanied accom-panied his sister, Mrs. Robert Cheatham, and children to Pu-enta, Pu-enta, Cal. Mrs. Cheatham has1 been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Cochrane, the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre enjoyed a three week visit in Long Island, N. Y., at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, SSgt. and Mrs. Robert Mclntyre. Mc-lntyre. Bob is stationed at the Roslyn Air Force Base. Ray Mclntyre, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre; entered the U S Air Force on June 1st. He is stationed at Parks A F Base, Oakland, Cal. Dan Schow of Oakland were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Powell Smyth and Mr. and Mrs. John Weston. Mrs. Horning Horn-ing was the former Helen Jean Schow, a niece of Mrs. Powell and Mrs. Weston. Mr. and Mrs. K. M. Schow of ' Bellingham, Wash., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lyon and two children chil-dren of Reno have been visiting at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. John Weston and Mr. and Mrs. Powell Smyth. The following children of Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Smith were here for the Fourth holidays: Mr. and Mrs. Albert B. Smith of Salt I Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. John I W. Smith of Cedar City, and Owen R. Smith Jr. of Oakland, Cal. Mrs. O. R. Smith accompanied accom-panied her son Owen to Oakland where she will visit her son and daughter. Robert and Ruth Kinross and son Russell of Springville were here for a three-week vacation. The couple left for Los Angeles, where they will make their home. Mrs. William Kinross returned from Detroit, Mich., on July 2. 1 She had been with her son-in-law and daughter, John and j Betty Taylor. Linda Kay was ' born to the Taylors while Mrs. Kinross was there. Mrs. Lucille White and Mrs. Nadine Aaland and daughter Nanette recently returned from I son Ben H., left Wednesday for Reno, Nev., to visit the Briscoe's two daughters. They arrived in Milford Saturday after meeting the Valley Forge to welcome "Sonny" back to the States. Mr. and Mrs Bill Capps of Green City, Mo., and son and daughter-lin-law, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Capps of Monmouth, were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoe, Monday. Mrs. E. L. Capps and Mrs. Briscoe are i sistesr. I I A 3c Bert O'Leary was in I Milford for the Fourth holidays. Soon after returning to his base ! at Las Vegas, Bert expects to be transferred to a jet engine school at Amarillo, Texas. i Mr. and Mrs. Albert Berntsen left Tuesday for a short vacation in Southern California. I i t Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Briggs I of Las Vegas are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Goodwin and I Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker. I Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dean . spent their Fourth holidays at Bryce. Park, and while passing thru Panguitch saw that city's beautiful parade. Karl Stott, Milford school teacher for the past several years, is now employed at the Tooele Ordance Depot.
