Show HOWARD STEWART MISSING IN KOREA Corporal Howard Stewart, 23-year-old Milford citizen who enlisted in the Army Medical Corps two years ago, has been missing in action on the Korean front since December 1st, according ac-cording to a telegram received from the war department last Thursday evening by his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stewart. Stew-art. Location of the section in which Cpl. Stewart was last serving was not disclosed. Cpl. Stewart was born in Milford, and was graduated from Milford High school in 1945. He enlisted in the army and served seven months before be-fore being discharged. In January, Jan-uary, 1949, he re-enlisted and was stationed on Okinawa for 18 months before receiving his first furlough. After 30 days at home, he was assigned to duty in Korea, and had been in that theater since July, 1950, serving with a medical unit attached at-tached to the Ninth Infantry division. |
