Show LIONS MEET IN ZONE OUTING AT BEAVER More than 200 Lions and Lady Lions of Beaver, Milford, Fillmore and Delta attended the Lions zone outing at Ponderosa Park, 10 miles up Beaver Can-j yon, last Saturday evening. The Beaver Lions club were hosts. Highlight of the outing was the banquet served by Twist's Cafe of Beaver. Adequate table space with seating capacity for all under the new lighting system sys-tem at the park added to success suc-cess of the entertainment. The banquet, served by Twist and his helpers, was as fine .a ' treat as any of the visitors could expect to be served in a banquet hall, adjacent to a kitchen. Mr. Twist is to be highly complimented compli-mented on the tastiness of the meal, and faultelessly serving the hot food in spite of the difficulties dif-ficulties of preparing it so far from the scene of the "feed." C. A. White of Monroe, Lions district governor, and Bert Milne of St. George, who was recently elected new district governor, were among the speakers. Both complimented their hosts on the success of the affair, and made brief talks on Lionism. Fillmore Lions won the Lion trophy for the greatest "man-mileage" "man-mileage" traveled to attend the outing. There were 50 representatives repre-sentatives from Fillmore, and President LaVoy Kimball accepted ac-cepted the trophy for his club. A bronze plaque, engraved with a message of appreciation, was presented to William A. Firmage, retiring president of the Beaver club, in recognition of his four years of service as president of the Beaver Lions. D. E. Stapley, new president, made the presentation. Ambrose Dalton of Beaver was general chairman of the! outing, and the smooth manner man-ner in which everything was conducted, from parking of visitors' vis-itors' cars to serving of the banquet, ban-quet, attested to the efficiency of preliminary preparations.
