Show I GOLD AND GREEN BALL WAS BIG SUCCESS The crowning of the queens and the MIA Gleaner and M-Men M-Men dance, in which 24 M-Men and Gleaner Girls participated, highlighted the Gold and Green Ball Tuesday night. The hall was beautifully decorated in blue and white, with a huge iceberg and a forest of sparkling spark-ling pine trees, which blended in so beautifully with the "Winter "Win-ter Wonderland" theme. Heralds Rickey Berger and Michael Baxter led the grand march, followed by Flower Girls Sharon Nichols and Julia Rae Banks, Crown Bearer Brad Weston, the Queen, Florence Openshaw, her attendants, Martha Mar-tha Ellen Carlton and Beatrice Spainhower, followed by Second Sec-ond Ward Flower Girls Sherrie Voorhees and Lois Gillins, Crown Bearer Roger Memmott, Queen Nona Gillins, her attendants, at-tendants, Ruth Firmage and Sylvia Voorhees. The queens were crowned by Bishop Clar-1 Clar-1 ence E. Tuttle and Leland Thompson. Beaver Stake and M I A officers of-ficers were in attendance. |
