Show With Th Ladies LOCAL AND PERSONAL NEWS SOCIETY CLUBS Mrs. Patricia Williams, Edilor Phone 150 THE RELIEF SOCIETY supper sup-per and bazaar held in the Mil-ford Mil-ford Ward Amusement hall on Thursday evening, Dec. 1, was, according to President Hazel Kesler, the largest and most successful ever held in the ward. The large attendance included six visitors from the Minersville Ward. President Kesler and her entire en-tire group of workers express their appreciation for the support sup-port given them by the general public; for their patronage and donations. The Relief Society Presidency wishes to especailly thank the members for contributions and the work they did to make the bazaar such a great success. MONDAY EVENING at the home of Maurine Miller the following' ladies played pinochle: pin-ochle: Mrs. Norma Edwards, Mrs. Noma Bradshaw, Mrs. Vera Waite, Mrs. Peggy Sullivan, Sulli-van, Mrs. Norma Aagard, Mrs. Merlin Merryweather, Mrs. Al-meda Al-meda Holbrook, and Mrs. Alma ,j Sly. Prizes were received by Mrs. Edwards, Mrs. Merry-weather Merry-weather and Mrs. Sly. Chinese Noodles and ice cream were served by the hostess host-ess after the game of cards. Mr. and Mrs. Kimbell Coon and Herbert, Mr. and Mrs. Blair Coon, and Bruce Kinross were in Richfield last Saturday. MR. AND MRS. ERASTUS PETERSON of Provo announce the engagement and approaching approach-ing marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth, to Mr. Bud Zabriskie, son of Mr. S. A. Zabriskie. The young couple will exchange ex-change nuptial vows at the home of the bride's parents on Friday, December 23. Miss Peterson, a graduate of Brigham Young University, is Fourth Grade teacher in the Milford Elementary school. Mr. Zabriskie, who was graduated grad-uated from Milford High school with the Class of 1948, is employed em-ployed by the Union Pacific Railroad. They will make their home in Milford. LAST MONDAY evening a group of ladies were entertained by Mrs. Betty Beddingfield at her home. Guests present were Mary Raines, Lorelei Dawson, Dawn Miller, Jerry Memmott, Helen Banks, Lottie Gronning and Edith Weisner. Cards were played during the evening, with Mrs. Dawson and Mrs. Raines receiving the prizes. Strawberry shortcake and coffee cof-fee were served by Mrs. Beddingfield. |
