Show ELEANOR G. EVANS PASSES AWAY IN OGDEN Mrs. Eleanor Griffiths Evans 52, died Friday of last week at her home in Ogden after a lingering lin-gering illness. he was born January 9, 1897 at Frisco, west of Milford, a daughter of James L. and Clara Slaughter Griffiths. She was reared and educated in Milford. On May 10, 1925, she was married mar-ried to Jack W. Evans in Milford. Mil-ford. The couple resided in Richfield Rich-field for three years . and afterwards after-wards moved to Ogden. In 1925 the family moved to Logan and then in 1928 returned to Ogden where they operated the 28th Street Market. A member of the L D S Church, she had for three years been a class leader in the 11th Waj-d Relief Society, and had also been a Primary teacher for three years in that ward. Survivors include her husband hus-band and the following sons and daughter: James L., Jack Jr. Bob and Eleanor Sue Evans, all of Ogden; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Clara Groo, Salt Lake; Mrs. Inez Steurer, Bountiful; Walter Grif fiths and Mrs. Esther Fowler Los Angeles; Mrs. Alta Hickman Beaver; Lloyd Griffiths, Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho, and Mrs. Zetta Jensen, Shelley, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw Grim-shaw of Milford attended the funeral services, which were held in Salt Lake City. |
