Show RECREATION PROGRAM TO BE CONTINUED The Milford Summer Recreation Recrea-tion program will be continued for the month of August, it was announced today by Vance Fisher as acting chairman of the recreation committee, and Rev. Harris, who will direct the program pro-gram next month. Coach Neal who has been in charge of recreation recre-ation Sor the past two months will leave Monday for a rest and vacation trip to Texas. The program for boys and girls will be an afternoon program, pro-gram, Rev. Harris said, from 2 ' to 4 p. rn. each day except Saturday. Sat-urday. Older boys will play ball, and younger boys and girls will play ball and other games and enjoy stories, in the Legion Park. Older girls will play ball each Thursday afternoon. In the softball loop, the White Market squad, losing only one game in first-half play, swept through the second half unde feated to stand alone as the un-V un-V challenged champions of soft- ball in Milford'. Don Campbell pitched, two-hit ball Tuesday night to down the All Stars 10 to 0. The Tex.ans, coming close to victory several times during the season, only to blow up and tos the ball game away, finally tasted victory in .the season's last contest. They defeated the L D S Elders, 22 to 11. in the other game Tuesday. |
