Show THIS WEEK IN MINERSVILLE By JOY GARDNER Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Jameson and Mr. and Harold Jameson and Richard, of Cedar City, spent Sunday touring Zion National Na-tional Park. After enjoying a delicious basket lunch, they inspected in-spected the tunnel. Neil Duke Hollingshead was born to Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Hollingshead, Saturday, June 4th, at the Milford -Hospital. He weighed 8 lbs., 5 oz. Minersville, Ward Primary held their Seagull Graduation Wednesday, May 25. A program was given by the eight girls, under direction of their teacher, Melba Baker. President Armina Banks presented the girls with their certificates and a nice handkerchief for their 100 attendance during the three years of study in home building. A nice luncheon was served by the girls to their parents, the officers and teachers of the Primary, Pri-mary, the Bishopric and their wives, Stake President Beth Morgan, Counselor Alva Gale and Stake Secretary Mildred Smith. Those graduating were Joy Carter, Jane Carter, Janice Carter, Car-ter, Eve McKnight, Phylis Rol lins, Merlene Evans, Verlene Gray and Myrel Owens. The Lincoln and Susanna camps of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers entertained the old folks over 70 years of age, June 1st. A hot dinner was served and a program was given. The centerpiece for the table, which seated 20 guests, was a bowl of red and yellow roses. All present pres-ent had a grand time. Mrs. Ellen Johnson of Holden, spent Tuesday visiting her granddaughter, Mrs. Clyde Hol-ingshead, Hol-ingshead, and famiy. Mrs. Thomas Evans of South Milford spent the past week visiting vis-iting her children and friends in Minersville. The first-year 4-H girls, Barbara Bar-bara Fails, Mary Owens, LaRea Evans, Sally Myers, Sandra Davis, Da-vis, Leola Matthews, Jean Griffiths, Grif-fiths, Minnie Mabry and Alice Adams, combined their weekly meeting on June 6th and enjoyed a picnic. The girls and Miss McKay spent the afternoon at W. W. and the Minersville creek;. |
