Show BAC LISTS FACULTY TO HANDLE FIRST SUMMER SESSION Monday, June 6, has been set as registration day for the first summer session at Branch Agricultural Agri-cultural college, with a distinguished distin-guished visiting and resident faculty teaching a variety of courses. Visiting professors include Dr. Ernest A. Jacobsen, dean of the school of education at Utah State Agricultural College; Floyd Cornaby, professor of art at U S A C; C. Elliott Tuttle, professor of science at Brigham Young University, and Prof. Israel Heaton of the U S A C physical education department. Roscoe A. Grover, formerly of New York University and now manager of station KSUB, will also be a member of the summer school faculty, as will Miss Mary McMillan, elementary supervisor supervis-or of Iron County schools. Glen E. Snow, president of Dixie Junior College and past president presi-dent of the National Education . y Association, will be on the campus cam-pus for part of the session for a series of lectures, and Lois La-Veve La-Veve Whetten, popular former assistant professor of physical education at B A C, will return for the six-week session. There will also be resident faculty of 11 members, headed by Dr. Reese P. .Maughan, chairman of the division of .education and director di-rector of the summer session. Inquiries received at the college col-lege indicate a large enrollment of students from all over southern south-ern Utah will be in attendance. Many of those planning to attend at-tend are teachers desiring additional addi-tional college work to comply with state requirements. A recreation program has been planned to go along with a broad offering of courses. One-day One-day and two-day trips will be taken to the national parks, Silver Sil-ver Reef Mine, Navajo Lake, and other points of special interest. |
