Show THIS WEEK IN MINERSVILLE By JOY GARDNER The finance committee of the church sponsored an "Easter Bonnet dance" Friday, April 15. Prizes were given for the cleverest clev-erest hat. Ralph Pearson won "top" place for the men, wearing a barn, and Mrs. Eloise Murdock won the women's prize. She wore a basket of eggs. Sandwiches Sand-wiches and punch were sold, and everyone had an enjoyable time. Mrs. Howard Marshall celebrated cele-brated her birthday Saturday night with a delicious dinner served to Mr. Marshall, Helen Davis, Lee Marshall, Mickey McKay Mc-Kay and Jeff Marshall. The evening eve-ning was spent playing 500, and everyone had a wonderful time. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Thompson are the proud parents of a 'Mb., 7-oz girl, born Friday, April 15, at the Cedar City hospital. Tuesday noon was one of the outstanding social events of the year for the American Legion Auxiliary as they entertained the state president, Mrs. Banks of Pleasant Grove, and the district dis-trict president, Mrs. Workman Continued on Page Three .1 I of Whiley, Colo., accompanied by George's mother, Mrs. Carl Banks, made a Temple tour on Tuesday of last week, thru the St. George Temple, and attended attend-ed the Manti Temple on Thursday. Hostess Anna Rae Carter introduced the guests of honor and the remaining time was turned over to the speakers. Virginia Carter, president of the Minersville post, welcomed the guests. Others from Minersville Min-ersville were Virginia Carter, Betty Marshall, Wilma Davis, Emily Gillins, Elma Blackburn, Virginia Marshall, Connie Marshall, Mar-shall, Barbara Gressman, Helen Davis, Shirley Carter, Anna Rae Carter, Druce Carter, Elinor Marshall, Thora Beeson and a guest ,Eloise Murdock. Brad-shaw. A lovely little girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. John Williams Easter Sunday at the Milford hospital. She weighed 8V2 lbs. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Hollings-head Hollings-head of Payson spent the weekend week-end visiting with Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Hollingshead. Miss Zola Hall of Los Angeles spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hall and friends. Harold Gillins and Ray MujS dock spent the week-end at Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Roberts spent several days of last week in Las Vegas.
