Show HERE'S MORE ABOUT MINERSVILLE (Continued from Page One) Mrs. I. N. Nolder spent Wednesday Wed-nesday in Greenville with an old friend, Mrs. Mary Ellen At-kin. At-kin. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Pryor and small daughter, of Kimberly, Nev., were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor. Tuesday night Mrs. Margaret Williams was the guest of honor at a party given by Mrs. Heber Gillins Jr. Those present pres-ent were Vivian Carter, Leila Carter, Daisy Gillins, Margaret Dalton, Eileen Gray, Rachel Eyre, Nina MarshalL Ruth Dot-son Dot-son and Erma Eyre. The evening was spent playing play-ing pinochle and hearts. Mrs. Gillins served a delicious luncheon lunch-eon and a most enjoyable time was had by all. Miss Maxine Marshall reigned as queen of the Beaver school's Junior Prom, March 25th. Beryl Roberts is home for a few days, from Las Vegas. Dick and Sue Davis of Pay-son Pay-son were here over the weekend, week-end, visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Owen Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jameson Jame-son and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Jameson and -Allen attended the Beaver Stake High Priest Temple Tem-ple excursion to St. George, March 23. Helen Marshall came home from Provo to attend Beaver's Junior Prom and visit with her parents,- Mr. and Mrs. Goldie Marshall, over the week-end. Welcome home Nona Eyre. Nona has been working in Mon-tebello, Mon-tebello, Calif., for the past year. She is the daughter of Mr. and j Mrs. Rulon Eyre. March 28th Jay Browner and Rhoda Ann Schwob were married mar-ried in Beaver. Jay is the son of Mrs. Vella Stephenson and the grandson of Mrs. Heber Gillins Sr. . Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwob of Beaver are the bride's parents. A reception followed the wed ding, with a large percentage of the Minersville people present. Many lovely gifts were received. re-ceived. The newly - wedded couple went to Las Vegas for their honeymoon trip, after which they will return to Beaver to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Kearney of Stur-gis, Stur-gis, Ky., are here visiting with Mrs. Kearney's grandmother, Mrs. Heber Gillins .Sr. She is the former Maurine Browner. Those who have made trips to Salt Lake to get brick for the new church are Darwin Marshall, Mar-shall, Clarence Gillins, Bill and Alfred Wood, Jeff Marshall and Karl Truman. Verle Bowman of Logan, a student at the U S A C, spent Wednesday visiting his sister, Mrs. Freda Wood, and family. Saturday was the date that I Roland Baker celebrated his. twelfth birthday with a party I of 18 guests. The evening was ' spent playing bingo. Phyllis Erickson and Merlene Evans won the prizes for girls, ami Keith Dotson and Goldie Adams won prizes for the boys. Mrs. Baker served ice cream and cake. The youngsters had a swell time and Roland was very , pleased with his gifts. |
