Show NEWS NOTES FROM GREENVILLE By MRS. GEO. A. HORTON Mr. William Calvert, a former for-mer resident of Greenville who is making his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Davis at Milford, Mil-ford, was happily surprised on his 75th birthday last Tuesday when a number of his children and grandchildren arrived to help him celebrate the occasion. Mrs. Davis served a hot chicken dinner complete with a delicious birthday cake. Those present from Greenville included Mrs. G. A. Fordham, Mr. Ross Calvert, Cal-vert, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ford-ham Ford-ham and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Edwards and son. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kinney and tiny daughter of Cedar City were in Greenville Tuesday, visiting vis-iting with Mrs. Kenney's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Williams. Wil-liams. Mrs. Claude Parkinson of Pin-tura, Pin-tura, Utah, visited in Greenville last week-end. Mrs. Jack Murdock received news this week that her husband, hus-band, who has been with the U. S. Army Air Force in Germany, is en route to the United States. Mr. P. F. Rollins left Wednesday Wednes-day for Salt Lake City, where he expects to do work in the L D S Temple. and remain to visit relatives rel-atives in Salt Lake and Layton. Mrs. Clark Griffiths and daughters arrived home Sunday from Cedar City, where they spent the wgek-end with Mrs. Griffiths' parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Horton and children were in Greenville on Monday. Mrs. Ormond Morris was a week-end visitor in Minersville last week. |
