Show A PLEASANT EVENING was enjoyed at the home of Rev. and Mrs. W. K. Longacre, last Tuesday Tues-day evening, then the W F M Society met for their regular monthly meeting and Christmas party. At the social hour gifts were exchanged, which consisted of guests bringing unused articles arti-cles in the home, which created a gala time. The members pre- sent included Mr. and Mrs. R. F. j Fogelsanger, Mr. and Mrs. Amos J Jackson, Mrs. Janet Walker, Mrs. Faye Walker, Mrs. Edith Barlege and Mrs. Nomie Walker. The January meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Nomie Walker, where the group will spend the day rolling bandages. 1 THE VFW Auxiliary annual I Christmas party, held in the IIOOF Hall Tuesday, December ! 14th, was an outstanding affair. Dinner was served to 36 members mem-bers at 7 p.m., followed by the regular business meeting at 8 p m., after which a group picture was taken for the V F W Golden Gold-en Jubilee Book. Monte Carlo whist was played, with Hazel Baxter winning the high prize, Margaret Murdock, low, and Susan Glenn won the house prize. Refreshments were served by F the following committee: Evelyn Henkel, Eileen Barnes, Claudia Petersen, Elinore Murdock, and Dorothy Mastros. Many lovely gifts were exchanged. ex-changed. The lighted tree and gay decorations attracted much attention. All said they had a wonderful time. Two-thirds of the Memorial Fund money has been raised. A LOVELY Sunday dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Baxter to Mr. and Mrs. Norman Baxter and family, - . Mr. and Mrs. Max Baxter and r family and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter and family. BRIDGE was played at the home of Mrs. Grant Anderson Wednesday night. Prizes were won by Mrs. Dorthy Kizer, Mrs. Mabel Westergard, and Mrs. Dorthy Morris. Other ladies playing were Mrs. Toni Uffens, Mrs. Alverta Goodwin, Mrs. Phylis Keetch, Mrs. Maudel Crane and Mrs. Velma Weston. ON DEC. THIRD, Ethel Mc-Intyre Mc-Intyre was hostess for her pinochle, club.. A salad and dessert- course was served before the game of., cards. ' SANDY WARNER celebrated his second birth anniversary on I Monday with a party for a few I of his little friends. Ice cream j and cake were served by his mother, Mrs. Earl Warner, with the grown-ups having ice cream, cake and tea. |
