Show Vance Fisher Resigns From Penney Company Mr. Vance Fisher, ''native" of Milford and manager of the local J. C. Penney store for the past eight years, has resigned his position with the company, effective ef-fective December 31, and will engage in business bus-iness for him- self after the I . I first of the! Aft-L .J M er seven years spent with the Vance Fisher Penney company compa-ny in Milford he was transferred to American Fork as assistant manager. In July, 1943, he returned re-turned to Milford as manager of the Milford store. Stocks were "low" in the Milford Mil-ford Penney store, it was stated, and Milford stood at the bottom of the list of Utah stores. By the end of 1943 the Milford store was in third place, and in 1944 this store won the state sales banner, awarded to the store in Utah which has the largest per-' per-' centage of annual sales increase. Again in 1945 the Milford store led the state until November, : when they were nosed out and . finished the year in second place. The new business will be started soon after the first of i the year, Mr. Fisher said. Exact lines of business and location ! will be announced later. |
