Show RED CROSS CAMPAIGN FOR FUNDS TO BEGIN MONDAY; ENDS SUNDAY The annual drive In ntie funds for the American Red Cross will begin Monday, March 15th, with W. Richard Kelson, principal of the Milford High School, in charge of the local campaign, it was announced today. "With most communities starting their campaign last week and continuing con-tinuing for a longer period, Mr. Kelson and his committee members agreed that a shorter, concerted effort to reach the quota would lie more acceptable to the Milford public. The fund drive" will end Sun-' day, March 21, Mr. Nelson said. Quota for Milford and South Milford is $745, slightly above last year's request; however, the sum actually raised last year was $970. A house to house canvass will be made in the residential section, sec-tion, and one team of workers will call on the business men during the week. No special dances or other benefits have been planned, the committee holding to the opinion that raising rais-ing the $745 quota can be accomplished accom-plished by making personal calls. |
